Positive
A photographic image where tones match reality - light areas appear light and dark areas appear dark. In traditional darkroom work, positives are made by projecting light through a negative onto photographic paper. The daguerreotype was the first practical positive process, producing unique, mirror-like images on silver-plated copper.
