Telephoto lens
A lens with a long focal length (typically 70mm and above) that magnifies distant subjects and compresses the apparent distance between objects. Telephoto lenses have a narrow field of view and shallow depth of field. Wildlife and sports photographers rely on extreme telephotos (400-800mm) to capture distant action.
