Frequently Asked Questions

Are these courses TEKS-aligned?+

Yes. Each credit course is mapped to specific Texas Administrative Code (TAC) sections. The TEKS alignment codes are listed on every course card. These mappings let you document standards coverage in your homeschool records and satisfy graduation credit requirements.

Can I use TEFA funding?+

Yes. Our courses are eligible for Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) funding, which provides $2,000 per student per year for approved educational expenses. An annual plan plus individual courses can be fully covered within the TEFA allowance. The first application round deadline is March 17, 2026.

Do I get transcripts?+

Yes. Upon completing a course, you receive a completion certificate that includes the course title, TEKS alignment code, credit value, and completion date. These certificates are designed for inclusion in homeschool transcripts and portfolios.

How does the free preview work?+

Unit 1 of every course is free for everyone — no account required. Unit 2 is available with a free account. Units 3 and beyond require a course purchase or bundle. This lets you evaluate the depth and quality of the content before committing.

What if my child needs multiple courses?+

Endorsement pathways bundle 4 related courses at 25-40% off the individual price. For unlimited access to every academic course, the Open Curriculum Unlimited subscription is $9.99/month or $79.99/year — the most cost-effective way to cover a full curriculum.
