Enculturation
The lifelong process, beginning in infancy, by which a person absorbs the categories, values, and unstated rules of the culture around them, so thoroughly that by adulthood those categories no longer feel like rules at all but simply 'how things are.' Enculturation is what makes a culture's own contents largely invisible to the people living inside it.
