Hierarchy

A ranking system that places people or groups at different levels of power, status, or privilege. Hierarchies can be formal (like military ranks) or informal (like social prestige). Critical thinkers examine whether hierarchies are justified by function or merely perpetuate privilege. Key questions: Who created this ranking? Who benefits? Could alternatives work?
