Oppression

The systematic mistreatment and marginalization of a group through institutional power, social norms, and cultural practices. Critical thinkers analyze oppression by examining who benefits from existing systems, how power is maintained, and which voices are silenced. Examples include historical apartheid systems and economic structures that concentrate wealth.
