Correct or authoritative practice within a tradition, as distinguished by that tradition's own recognized standards, in contrast to orthodoxy's emphasis on correct belief. Islam's Five Pillars and Judaism's halakha are frequently cited as traditions where orthopraxy carries particularly heavy structural weight.
