Coordination Game

A strategic situation where players' interests are aligned rather than opposed — everyone benefits from landing on the same outcome, and the challenge is not overcoming a temptation to defect (there is none) but finding a way to converge on one of several possible good outcomes. Structurally distinct from the Prisoner's Dilemma, where defection is individually tempting even though it hurts everyone.
