Fairness
The journalistic principle of accurately and completely representing all relevant viewpoints, giving subjects opportunity to respond to criticism, and not omitting information that contradicts the story's angle. Fairness differs from balance in that it requires proportional representation based on evidence, not equal time regardless of merit.
