Venture capital

Investment in early-stage, high-growth companies in exchange for equity. VCs provide not just money but expertise, connections, and guidance. The model expects most investments to fail but hopes a few will return 10x or more, compensating for losses. Venture capital fueled the growth of companies like Google, Amazon, and Uber.
