Biological race

The concept that human populations can be divided into discrete, genetically distinct groups. Modern genomic evidence, particularly Tishkoff's work on African genetic diversity and Lewontin's 1972 analysis, demonstrates that this concept has no biological basis — there is more genetic variation within traditional "racial" groups than between them.
